What we believe

  • The full inspiration and inerrancy of the 66 books of the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  • Careful exegesis (analysis/interpretation) and exposition (explanation) of the Scriptures. (2 Timothy 2:15)
  • The sufficiency of the Scriptures in all aspects of ministry. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  • The Triunity of God. (John 6:27John 1:1Acts 5:3-4)
  • Recent creation of the world in 6 literal days. (Genesis 1-2)
  • Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
  • The security of the saint in Christ. (1 Peter 1:3-5)
  • Water baptism does not save but is an important teaching aid revealing the believer’s identification with the Triune God who saves us. (Matthew 28:16-20)
  • A commitment to a godly and holy lifestyle as worship. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
  • Christlikeness is the epitome of worship. (Romans 8:29)
  • The autonomy of the local church under the leadership of godly elders. Voluntary participation in a fellowship of likeminded churches does not negate the autonomy of the local body and can greatly enhance the church’s mission. (1 Peter 5:1-4)
  • While men and women are equal heirs of the grace of God (Galatians 3:28) there is a difference of roles in the home and church. (1 Timothy 2:11-15)
  • Prophesying and sign gifts like speaking in tongues were temporary gifts that ceased by the end of the first century. (Ephesians 2:202 Corinthians 12:12)
  • A Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) focused on a world mission is the only biblical focus.
  • A consistent literal hermeneutic that gives rise to a dispensational understanding of God’s program on the earth. The Church is not Israel and Israel has a tremendous future when her covenant promises are fulfilled in the millennial kingdom. (1 Corinthians 10:32Revelation 20)
  • All people will experience eternity based on their relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ, The believer will experience eternal heavenly bliss in the presence of Christ while the unbeliever will experience eternal conscious punishment separated from Jesus Christ. (John 5:24-29Revelation 20:10)
  • While our heart is open to the whole body of Christ, we must keep our feet on the biblical path of truth and focus our relationships and associations on those who are likeminded. Separation from sin and error are sometimes unavoidable for believers because truth cannot be perpetuated through compromise and compromise cannot be avoided without separation. (Romans 16:17-182 Corinthians 6:17)
